Why don't Bixby Developer Studio search results find all occurrences of the search String?

Bixby Developer Studio’s search functionality looks for exact matches rather than fuzzy matches. When search terms contain special characters such as whitespace characters, the search being made may not result in the search that was intended.

For example, the phrase “air conditioner” may find different results based on what the space between “air” and “conditioner” really is. The two following screenshots demonstrate this difference. While both search terms look the same, one is “air + 0x20 + conditioner” while the other is “air + 0xc2a0 + conditioner”.

Don’t worry! Bixby treats all whitespace characters equally when understanding Training!

This behavior can affect productivity as a developer if different types of whitespace characters exist in capsule code. Multiple types of whitespace character usually end up in capsule code and Training through copy + pasting from a Unicode-encoding document.

To ensure that capsule code is accurately searchable, it is important to verify that any special characters being inserted match those already defined within.
